The people says that when the Brazilian is not dancing or singing he is beacuse he is trying. Brazil is a earth in perpetual celebration, To next the most important festivities:

  • 1of january: New year.
  • From the 19 to the 23 of February: Carnival of Rio de janeiro.
  • 9 of April: Holy-Friday
  • 21 of Aplril: Day of Tiradentes (Brazilian revolutionary hero).
  • 1 of May: Celebration of the Work.
  • 10 of June: Corpus Christi
  • 9 of July: holi-friday (only in the state of Sao Paulo).
  • 7 of September: Day of Independence.
  • 12 of October: Festival of the Appeared Virgin, Employer of Brazil.
  • 2 of November: Festival of All the Saints.
  • 15 of November: Anniversary of the Procalamantion of the Republic.
  • 24 of December: Good night.
  • 25 of December: Christmas.
Carnival of Rio: The main event in the city of Rio is its Carnival and this is very famous in the world, the carnival is realised when the summer is finishing. The festivities atract thounsands of people from all corners of the world. This carnival during four days. It starts on Saturday, and ends on Fat Tuesday, or Mardi-Gras as is called. carnival sunday is seven weeks before Easter sunday. The dates change every year, in 2010 it happens from February 13 through 16.

New Year in Brazil:
the Brazilans have a beautiful traditions and one of theirs tradition more importatnt is the Brazilian New Year, as much that they celebrated festival for the people living there. New Year in Brazil is Known as Ano Nove (Portuguese) but is more known as Revillion. It is celebrated on January as per the Gregorian calendr.

New Year is the time when people from various parts of the world like to celebrate it in Brazil. Pubs, Party halls, clubs, beaches and even roads are throndged with people.

The music in Brazil

The artsist Heitor Villa-Lobos is considered as the most prolific Brazilian composer. His works are based on a lot of on Brazilian folk themes. Bidú Sayao is a Brazilian soprano who ha been a most famous interpreter of his mucis, add to this Brazil has a rich folk music tradition that extracter elements of countries as Africa and Portugal, of its traditional music. The samba is perhabas the known dance more , this was introduced to the United States in 1938. Its music,it was derived of the African's folk dances and based in this, became popular and eventually developed in the more popular bossa nova. Joao Gilberto is a guitarist and singer that have been performed the melodies and rhythms of the bossa nova. Among contemporary composers are Luis Bonfa and Antonio carlos Jobim.

Art

The sculpture flourished during in the century 18 and 19 in Brazil. Much of the works included showy religious figures. The Art of Brazil in the century 20 was realised by anonymous artist, but the influence of this work has beeb very strong and the traces can be seen in the styles of the comtemporary Brazilians artists the most. Between the most famous artist are the painter Candido Portinari and his mural executed for the United Nations in New York, in this mural shows these earlier influences.

Culture


The culture of actual Brazil has been formed for a big amount of ethnic traditions. The first Portuguese colonists arrive with a many of customs and words that was different of the nature dialects. In the age colonial millions of Black African salves who were brought and taken to Brazil, they added an African element to Brazilian culture life. Their religious rites were mixed with Roman Catholicism for formed the unique afro-Brazilian cult that is notable in theirs exotic ceremonies. The most influential of these cults is Camdomble.


In addition in Brazil is a country where is a predominantly societies with European bases, these customs were transmitted mainly by the colonist: Portuguese, Italians, Germans and Spaniards.

The library serves as the national copyright register.


Too in Rio de janeiro are the Museum of Modern Art it was founden in 1948, which house collections from many countries and offers courses of study, concerts, and films; The national Museum (1818), which has about 1.5 million specimens in exhibition, most of which concern geology, botany, and anthropology; and the Museum of the Indian (1953). Most larger cities have municipal museums.

Kaka’s Biography


Kaká was born on 22 April of 1982. His real name is Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite, but commonly known as Kaká, he is a Brazilian football midfielder and he plays in the soccer Club Team Real Madrid and The Brazilian National Team. He is a very important soccer player, he was the recipient of the “Balon de oro” and the FIFA World Player of the year, both price in the 2007 year.

The Parents of Ricardo are, His mother Simone Cristina Santos Leite and his father Bosco Izecson Pereira Leite, his father is a civil engineer. Ricardo was born in Brasilia. In his childhood he could practice the football at the same time that the school, thanks to an economic stability of his father.

When he was seven, his family moved to Sao Paulo. There he belonged to a local club of the school called “Villa alfa”, this team participated in the final of the local tournament, in this Location the Club Sao Paulo FC, club of the hometown, they were discovered and offered an opportunity to him to play soccer.

At the eighteen, Kaká suffered an accident that could leave it paralytic, he was fallen of a swimming pool springboard, he suffered a vertebra fracture, but he had a full recovery. He attributes his recovery to God and since this he gives the thite his church.

His nickname is a common term of endearment of “Ricardo” in Brazil, His younger brother Rodrigo calling him “Cacá”, because his brother couldn’t pronounce “Ricardo”, WHEN they were young, he changed the nickname to Kaká.

Kaká is member of the organization “Atletas de Cristo” (Athletes of Christ). His goal celebration consists of pointing out to the sky as gesture of thanks to God. Kaka’s favourite music is Gospel, and his favourite book is the Bible.

He married with his childhood girlfriend Caroline Celico on 23 December of 2005, in his church that IS called “Igreja Renascer em Cristo” (Reborn in Christ Church), the first child is called Luca Celico Leite, he was born in Sao Paulo on June 10, 2008.
